It does seem insane to try to sell a fragrance without giving you a list of hints as to what it might smell like, but we are quite adamant that this will diminish your experience with the fragrance. A fragrance is usually a complex mixture of ingredients, all of which combine to create a unique scent structure that is then sprayed onto a unique skin chemistry in an environment filled with fleeting scent molecules, humidity, and so on. No list of notes will deftly envision that experience for you. We want you to have an undefined personal experience that will evolve with you each time you wear the scent.
Post-Perfume™ is often mistaken for the name of some of our perfumes because it features prominently on some bottles. The term is not used to say that our fragrances are entirely novel, or that we don’t walk a path that was paved by many amazing and creative individuals and brands – instead it acts more as a marker that denotes that our fragrances are conceived, structured, marketed, and hopefully experienced in a way that is very different compared to traditional mass market perfume. Someone totally turned off by department store perfume might still be able to find joy in a fragrance designed for them and not the mass market.
It is not about what is smells like, it is about how you perceive the fragrance. Our scents aren't built around familiar notes or easy comparisons – they're abstract compositions meant to be experienced, not decoded.
No. Our work is created for anyone who connects with it. Scent isn't inherently gendered, so we don't see any reason to frame it that way.
We can only accept returns on unopened products. If you are unsure, start with a discover set and use the discount code towards a full bottle in the future. For a more detailed return policy, see here.
